One of the difficult things about having so many food issues is that I have to make so much of my own food. There is not a lot of tasty take-out that I can trust.

The other difficult thing is in searching for recipes, I have often found the words 'simple' and 'quick' have a different meaning for me than for the creator of the recipe.

I want simple and quick.

I'm sure others do too. Simple doesn't mean I soak something overnight, and quick doesn't find me hauling something out of the oven hours after it went in. (Maybe the crockpot, but we'll get into that later!)

A lot of people with food problems don't eat well, or as they should, because it can take So. Much. Time.

There is nothing wrong with all those beautiful, elegant recipes, I'm quite sure most are delicious.

I can make them on the weekend.

But for the weekdays, I want to get in and get out. I've got better things to do than stand on already achy legs.

Like writing a book! Yes!

With all this in mind, I'm going to be throwing simple suggestions your way. It may be something I enjoyed, an idea on how to do something faster, and even a recipe or two.

Maybe you'll like it, maybe you won't.
